In addition to be a Welsh medium school we regularly work with external agencies to encourage the use of Welsh in every day life. We've had regular visits from Bronwen Lewis, Welsh Whisperer, Mr Phormula and Cwmni Ynni Da.
Congratulations to the Dim Clem Welsh team who took part in the Dim Clem quiz. Da iawn!!
We invite Welsh singers & artists into school to promote the Welsh language scene.
Here's our Criw Cymraeg with Mr Phormula.
Mae siarad Cymraeg yn gyfrifoldeb pawb!!
Speaking Welsh is everyone's responsibility!!
Daeth Cwmni Ynni Da i gynnal sesiwn ar gerddoriaeth Gymraeg. Mae canlyniadau'r ymweliad yn y ddogfen PDF.
Cwmni Ynni Da came to school to have a session on Welsh Music - the findings of their work is in the PDF document below.
Beth yw'r Siarter Iaith Gymraeg?
Yn Ysgol Gynradd Penderyn rydym yn ymfalchïo yn ein darpariaeth ddwyieithog sy’n hanfodol i ddatblygiad ein plant yn y Gymru fodern. Rydym yn ymrwymedig i egwyddorion y Siarter Iaith a’r amcan i gefnogi ein plant i wneud defnydd llawn o’r Gymraeg mewn bywyd pob dydd i’w gwneud yn aelodau gwbl ddwyieithog yn ein cymuned.
Amcan y Siarter Iaith yw hybu’r defnydd o’r Gymraeg o fewn yr ysgol a’r gymuned ehangach.
Rydym yn annog ein plant i siarad y Gymraeg ar bob cyfle, i wrando ar gerddoriaeth Gymraeg, i edrych ar raglenni teledu Cymraeg ac i ddefnyddio amrywiaeth o gyfryngau Cymraeg.
What is the Welsh Language Charter?
At Penderyn Primary School we pride ourselves on the bilingual provision at our school in order for our children to succeed in a modern Wales. We are committed to the principles of the Welsh Language Charter and its objective of supporting children to make full use of their Welsh in their everyday lives and make them fully bilingual members of the community.
The objective of the Charter is to promote the use of Welsh in school and the wider community.
We encourage our children to speak Welsh at every opportunity, listen to Welsh music, watch Welsh television and to use various Welsh media.
